 123rd annual John McDonogh Day event and McDonogh-Jefferson High School historic marker unveiling

McDonogh Day, Friday, May 3 at 9:45 a.m. at the McDonogh Cenotaph in McDonoghville Cemetery, 520 Hancock Street, Gretna. In case of rain, the McDonogh Day event will be held in the Lions Club hall at 476 Franklin Street, one block from the cemetery.

Followed at 11 a.m. by unveiling of McDonogh-Jefferson High School marker near 32 First Street by Ocean Avenue, the old school site which is now Bengal Lumber. Reception following at the GHS White House, 209 Lafayette Street, Gretna.
