2006 Founders' Day Banquet The Jefferson Historical Society of Louisiana, in cooperation with the Jefferson Parish Historical Commission, held its Annual Founders' Day Banquet on Friday, February 10, 2006, at Timberlane Country Club in Gretna. The special guest speaker at the event was Marc R. Matrana, whose book, Seven Oaks Plantation: the Rise and Fall of Seven Oaks, was published in August 2005 and is the Jefferson Parish Historical Commission's 16th monograph in that body's Jefferson History Series.
